Since the Monero (XMR) RandomX fork and algorithm change, home based miners can once again participate in securing the Monero blockchain through mining on CPUs. RandomX is optimized to run on CPUs and be ASIC resistant.
Many old CPUs have been rejuvenated by the RandomX implementation and miners are also getting an advantage by using PeerHash which is a mining GUI for third party miners however it uniquely implements a fair random hash distribution with our PeerHash users.
